Silvia Contreras (Chile) Masterclass #48
"Unlocking Musicianship Through Solfège"
A VDM Masterclass with Silvia Contreras (Chile)
In this class we will explore the basic tools of Dalcroze Solfège and its applications in beginner and intermediate level classes. We will approach scales, arpeggios, and chords using rhythmic patterns.
We will learn some improvisation games related to these solfège topics, in order to support ear training and musical expression. This class will include exercises both for the students participating in the class, and a discussion of solfège pedagogy so that participants can leave equipped to work with their own students in new ways.
