Donated Instruments
We have an incredibly generous community who, on occasion, are able to donate their instruments once they are no longer needed. Because of this generosity, Integral Steps is sometimes able to offer a donated instrument free of charge or to put families in contact with one another to arrange an exchange.

Finding a home - a donated instrument success story!
When Dr. Sasha Garver, a well-known flutist, voice performer and pinnacle of the Suzuki Method world, contacted our director, Ms. Emma Shubin, about donating a piano, we knew we could find it a perfect home! The piano belonged to her mother, also a renowned Suzuki piano teacher, and it came with an interesting history.
It was built about 200 years ago, not too far from Denver, and spent most of its life in the Colorado mountains being used by a family before making its way back down the mountains to teach piano in a music studio. It had had only two homes before we were able to pair it with one of our students whose family was in need of a piano. Caleb's family were thrilled and as one of our amazing Suzuki piano students, Caleb continues to play on this same piano to this day and is flourishing as a musician. |
