You are invited to move, speak, sing, and play as we explore a collection of rhythmic motifs and modal melodies from a range of repertoires. These musical materials will become the basis of our very own improvisations and compositions. No matter your level of musical training or teaching experience, this session offers a hands-on approach to making new music from old. Please bring your body and voice, an instrument of your choice, and a piece of manuscript paper. PowerPoint slides will be shared and a PDF handout will be available after the session.
